Stock prices in Tokyo fell sharply on Thursday, as the key Nikkei index down more than 700 points amid fears of a recently observed price volatility.

Nuclear Regulatory Commission of Japan officially decided not to begin preparations for the restart of the fast reactor "Monju" in Tsuruga city in the central part of the country.
