Japanese Prime Minister intends to provide assistance to Somalia in the various areas of development

Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe said that he intends to vigorously assist Somalia in the construction of the state by assisting in the development that is oriented to the needs of the people for the sake of a bright future of this country.
Shinzo Abe attended the summit in Yokohama south of Tokyo, where they discussed ways to help the civil war-torn Somalia. The meeting took place on the eve of the opening on Saturday also at Yokohama Tokyo International Conference on African Development.
At the discussion was also attended by Somali President of Somalia Sheikh Hassan Mahmoud and representatives of neighboring Somalia.
Speaking at the meeting, Abe stressed the importance for the people of Somalia and long-term investment in human resources as well as a stable existence can be ensured only by their own labor, as in any society, people are the key factor.
Meanwhile, the president of Somalia on Friday gave an interview to NHK, which called on the Japanese to help his country to rebuild the infrastructure and the revival of agriculture. He also requested assistance in training.
