The Government defers plan to raise awareness about childbirth
Japanese Government advisers recommend to postpone distribution of booklets for young women, which tells about the pregnancy and the birth of the child.
The government intends to proceed with the distribution of booklets in April 2014. Advisers suggested that the lack of knowledge about childbirth is one of the factors reducing the birth rate in Japan.
However, some critics say that the birth of children - a purely personal matter, which does not need to interfere with the authorities.
