80-year-old Japanese man to reach the summit of Everest

80-year-old Japanese man has become the oldest climber to climb Mount Everest. It was the third ascent of Yuichiro Miura to the highest mountain peak in the world.
Miura has stepped up to the top of 8,848 meters on Thursday after the release of the latter on his way base camp, located at an altitude of 8,500 meters.
Miura said by satellite phone that he truly feels at the very top of the world. He described the calm weather and spectacular views of the Himalayan mountains, which opens from the top. Miura expressed his gratitude to those who supported him. He said he felt very tired, but his age is not a barrier for him.
His achievement Miura broke the previous record belonging to a resident of Nepal, who conquered Mount Everest five years ago at the age of 76 years.
